22.02.2008 : Truly white supercontinuum fibre lasers
Southampton, United Kingdom (February 22, 2008) Fianium have extended their unrivalled supercontinuum product portfolio with the release of the new SC400 and SC-PP laser sources, offering tunable pulse repetition rate from 100kHz to 40MHz and spectral content extending from below 400nm to beyond 2.5um.
The SC400 is a world first for commercial supercontinuum systems, pushing the wavelength range of the laser to below 400nm while maintaining diffraction limited beam quality across the spectrum and delivering spectral brightness in the mW's/nm range. The laser is based on proven fiber technology and operates at a fundamental repetition rate of 40 MHz. A built-in pulse picker allows the end-user to pre-set the repetition rate of the supecontiunuum radiation from 100kHz to 40 MHz. As a standard add-on unit, the supercontinuum lasers can be equipped with a multi-channel AOTF which provides up to 8 independently controlled wavelengths in the 400-2000 nm spectral range.

11.01.2008 : New ultrafast fiber lasers for advanced materials processing
Southampton, United Kingdom (January 11, 2008) Fianium announced a major expansion of its ultrafast high energy product line with two new fiber laser systems now available. Driven by the needs of industrial and scientific markets, the latest members of the FP1060 product family are highly-flexible, high-energy picosecond (FP1060-10pp) and femtosecond (FP1060-2s) sources.
Fianium's FP1060-10pp picosecond systems deliver energies up to 10 uJ at pulse durations less than 20ps. The laser system features an external modulator enabling pulse repetition rates from single shot to 20MHz and highly flexible pulse shaping and burst-mode operation.
Fianium has also released a high energy femtosecond fiber laser FP1060-2s delivering 300 fs pulses with pulse energy exceeding 2 uJ. The laser operates at user-selectable repetition rate (100 kHz - 2MHz) and produces clean, sub-picosecond pulses with peak power approaching 10 MW.
All Fianium lasers are air-cooled, maintenance-free and ultra-compact. The FP1060 systems comprise output isolation and deliver diffraction limited output beams and linear state of polarization.

Southampton, United Kingdom (January 23, 2007) Fianium Ltd. introduced several unique ultrafast fibre laser systems at Photonic West, including a quasi-CW laser system operating at 266 nm and delivering up to 500 mW of average power at pulse repetition rate of 400 MHz.
The quasi-CW UV laser system is designed for applications in semiconductor industry.

22.05.2006 : 40W Ultra high brightness pump laser module released at CLEO.
Long Beach, California, USA (May 22, 2006): At CLEO 2006, Fianium Ltd, a world leader in ultrafast fibre lasers, has introduced the latest in their family of high brightness pump modules - the PUMA-920-40.
Based on the company's proprietary multi-emitter combination technology, the PUMA delivers 40W at 920nm through a 105μm, 0.22NA optical fibre.
Measuring only 64x62x26mm, and with built-in electronic drivers, the PUMA is ultra compact and provides the high brightness essential for enabling short pulse and ultra short pulse amplification. The PUMA also has a built-in dichroic mirror which makes this pump immune to accidental damage of laser diodes due to signal feedback from the pumped active media.
The latest 40W version of the PUMA leverages the rapid advancements in high power diode laser technology and provides potential for further power scaling. Coupled with pump combiner technology, this latest version of the PUMA enables up to 250W of pump power to be coupled into a short-length, 125um double-clad amplifier fibre.

22.01.2006 : World's first industrial high-power 266nm UV Fibre laser system released at Photonics West.
San Jose, California, USA (January 22, 2006): At Photonics West 2006, Fianium Ltd, a world leader in ultrafast fiber lasers, introduced a new series of high power UV fiber laser systems operating at 266 nm.
Delivering scalable power in excess of 1W, the UVPower266 demonstrates all of the advantages of fiber-lasers. Weighing less than 4 kg and with a footprint of 350 x 60 mm, the optical head is one tenth of the size and weight of comparable solid state UV sources. Furthermore, incorporating Fianium's proprietary beam delivery optics, the UVPower266 system removes the need for beam steering optics enabling direct-beam positioning with excellent beam quality and pointing stability.
